Why this role exists

Some compute incidents only become clear at the node, link, rack or facility boundary. This role works close to the physical infrastructure and the teams responsible for it.

The work

  • Investigate GPU servers, network components, cabling and related physical failure signals with site teams.
  • Connect hardware observations to workload impact and document the evidence needed for the next owner.
  • Help plan safe diagnostic work and coordinate provider or vendor escalation when needed.
  • Improve field runbooks, installation checks and recurring-fault feedback into the product team.
  • Explain findings clearly to remote engineers and customer operators.

What you’ll bring

  • Hands-on experience with server, GPU, fabric or data centre hardware diagnostics.
  • Ability to isolate faults methodically and work safely in production environments.
  • Comfort collaborating with software, network and operations specialists.
  • Clear technical documentation and customer-facing communication.

Useful experience

  • NVIDIA systems
  • InfiniBand or RoCE
  • Vendor RMA processes
  • Linux diagnostics
