NEUTRAL / CAREERS

HPC Engineering Training Lead

Create practical learning programs that help strong software engineers become capable HPC and GPU infrastructure engineers.

Apply for this role

Why this role exists

The next generation of Neutral engineers needs both software depth and operational judgment. This role turns expert practice into an internal training program demonstrated through real scenarios.

The work

  • Map the skills needed to investigate GPU, fabric, storage, Linux and distributed-workload incidents.
  • Design internal hands-on labs, assessments and progression paths for software engineers learning HPC operations.
  • Work with specialists to turn incident cases and runbooks into teachable exercises.
  • Teach, coach and evaluate engineers using observable skills rather than time served.
  • Measure where training improves diagnosis, communication and safe action, then revise the program.

What you’ll bring

  • Experience teaching or mentoring engineers in complex technical subjects.
  • Practical understanding of HPC, GPU infrastructure, distributed systems or closely related operations.
  • Ability to design exercises that test real engineering judgment.
  • Strong software engineering literacy and clear technical writing.

Useful experience

  • Curriculum design
  • Lab infrastructure
  • Incident response training
  • Competency assessment
